The following is an industry press release from Daytona International Speedway...
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 6 , 2016) – The thrill of Supercross returns to Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night, March 11, 2017, as the best riders in the world battle for a win in the Daytona Supercross By Honda. The challenging course will be designed for the 10th year by five-time Daytona Supercross By Honda champion Ricky Carmichael.
The Daytona Supercross By Honda is the only Florida stop on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, FIM World Championship circuit and the longest continuous Supercross event in America, dating back to 1971.
Tickets for the Daytona Supercross By Honda will go on sale at a later date, with adult general admission tickets starting at $35.
In 2016, Eli Tomac landed his No. 3 Monster Energy Kawasaki atop the podium for his first career win at the “World Center of Racing.” In 2017, Tomac will be targeting back-to-back victories and newly-crowned three-time 450SX champion Ryan Dungey will vie for his seventh DIS podium finish in the last eight years. Both will have to outrace a talented field of riders including Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson, Cole Seely, Trey Canard and three-time Daytona Supercross By Honda champion Chad Reed.

About Daytona International Speedway
Daytona International Speedway recently completed a $400 million frontstretch renovation project that transformed the “World Center of Racing” into the world’s first motorsports stadium. Improvements included wider, more comfortable seats, five expanded and redesigned entrances, 40 escalators and upgraded amenities throughout the 11 football-field size neighborhoods. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the DAYTONA 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe. New to the calendar for 2016 is the Country 500 music festival on Memorial Day Weekend and the Ferrari World Finals on Dec. 1-4. In addition to at least eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.
